Biohawk have developed a product that we can add to our Breads and Pastries that may aid you with digestion of wheat products.
It is made from natural ingredients.

Along with the variety of Baked Foods we offer, we also offer a selection of Cold Drinks.
Choose from a selection of Coca Cola branded Soft drinks and Energy Drinks, Fruit Drinks (Golden Circle) and Juices (Just Juice).
We no longer offer a selection of Dairy Farmers Milk Drinks.
If we don’t have your preferred brand or flavour, perhaps the neighboring “Friendly Grocer” will.
Perhaps you want a Pie or Sausage Roll, but someone else wants a Burger, or Fish and Chips. That’s OK, “Uncle Bill’s Takeaway” is close by as well.
If you are going to enjoy a croissant it needs to be a good one.
Ours are a “French”, Butter Style. Weighing a bit above 80 grams (average) before baking, we believe they proof and bake to a good size to indulge.
This one always causes confusion. If you do some research you will find a whole host of definitions.
Apparently this cake may not of had French origins as you may perceive. I had a quick look around on the internet myself, and found that the one we call a “French Vanilla Slice” is sometimes referred to as a “Russian Napolean” or a “Napoleon”.
Also not to be confused with a “Neapolitan” Cake (refer to our other post) .
So what do we call a “Napolean Cake”.
We sandwich a Light Vanilla Sponge Cake between a top and bottom layer of our Puff Pastry.
To hold this together we use a coating of Raspberry/Plum Jam, and a layer of our whipped Mock Cream.
On top we Ice the cake with our whipped Sugar Icing.
This is then packaged as a bar cake.
A Traditional Favourite, a layer of our butter style Shortbread pastry on the top and bottom with a filling of Australian fresh diced Apples.
Finished off with a dusting Castor Sugar.
If you would rather it as a Pie, we have them sized for the individual, or a Family size.
We have a variety of Quiche’s in our range.
Using our own rolled Pastry. The filling is a Traditional home style recipe, using Fresh eggs, Fresh cream and Fresh vegetables (the vegetables used may vary depending on season).
If vegetables “don’t float your boat’ we do have a Bacon and Cheese (Quiche Lorraine).
Spinach and Fetta Cheese is a favourite as well
One of our popular sizes is that of a Texan Muffin.
Family size are made to order
Our Sausage Rolls are made using Puff Pastry rolled in our bakery.
We use meat from our local butcher.
The answer to the question we are often asked about our filling we use. There is “No Onion”.
Because we make our own sausage rolls we offer a variety of sizes.
Our Standard size is around 160mm.
If you just want one as a side snack, we normally have half size on offer (baked at 1/2 size so you have the crunchy bit on each end).
Of course don’t be shy to ask if you want your sausage roll to have our complementary “Mushy Peas”.
If you need them to be bite size for a function platter (1/4), that’s do-able.
Sometimes known as a “Mille-Feuille”
Layers of our own Puff Pastry, with generous layers of Creamy Vanilla Custard piped between, and a liberal topping of decadent white Fondant.
Yes, we do the “snot block” as well. ( Hey! Don’t judge us, if you do a online search it will come up).
Two layers of our extra flaky Puff Pastry filled with our Mock Cream or Fresh Whipped Cream (doesn’t hurt to ask). A generous line of Raspberry/Plum Jam down the middle and top off with a dusting of Icing Sugar.
Our Apple Turnovers have a diced fresh Australian Apple filling encased with our own Puff Pastry rolled in our Bakery.
You can have the option to have them how they are, or cream filled. Either fresh whipped or our own mock cream. Not to forget the light dusting of icing mixture.
