Vegemite Scroll

“It appears what was once a part of the “Aussie Staple Diet” may be starting to fade away.”

Well that was what we thought a couple of months back anyway. Its seems to be changing. We have had enough enquiries for us to give the old Cheesymite another go. Our Vegemite Scroll is made using our Bread Dough, we would give it a coat of “Vegemite” and sprinkle “Aussie Jack” Cheese over it before rolling it into a scroll. Then another layer of melted cheese on top.

Its great that this little “Aussie Delight” may make a comeback. With your help, we can make 2017 the year of the “Cheesie Mite” or “Cheesy-Mite”.

Scones

Always a great aroma to have wafting around the home kitchen, freshly baked scones. Even better if someone else bakes them.

Quite a treat with a bit of a “ding” in the microwave (to warm them up, to melt the butter). A slather of Fresh Cream, and Jam. Its all “Yummo” from there.

We use the same style of recipe that would be considered a “Family Traditional”, just the basic ingredients and freshly bake.

Plain, Pumpkin (flavoured), Date, Sultana, Herb and Cheese, Bacon and Cheese are some of the variety’s we offer.

Quiche

We have a variety of Quiche’s in our range.

Using our own rolled Pastry. The filling is a Traditional home style recipe, using Fresh eggs, Fresh cream and Fresh vegetables (the vegetables used may vary depending on season).

If vegetables “don’t float your boat’ we do have a Bacon and Cheese (Quiche Lorraine).

Spinach and Fetta Cheese is a favourite as well

 

One of our popular sizes is that of a Texan Muffin.

Potato, Ham, and Cheese Sausage Roll

Sounds a mouth full because it is.

We cut the top open of our regular sausage roll, and pipe Freshly Mashed Potato down the centre. Then we top it off with Shredded Ham and melted “Aussie Jack” Cheese.

Of course, if you think you can fit them in. You can always get “Mushy Peas” added at no extra cost. Also you are welcome to have some complimentary Tomato or Barbecue sauce.

In case your wondering we do offer this as a 1/2 size as well.

Meat Pies

Looking for a Meat Pie.

We fill our Pies with meat from our local butcher (just around the corner).

Whether it be a Beef Mince Pie or a Chunky Steak Pie (Chunkie’s), we have a wide variety of flavoured toppings to choose from.

Plain, Bacon & Cheese, Bacon, Curry, Mushroom, Potato, Tomato & Onion.

(Just on a side note, for our potato, we use freshly peeled and mashed “spuds”).

Along with those flavours, in our Chunky Pie have Pepper, and Pepper & Mushroom (yeah I know “written weird”).

If its a good old Kidney Pie your looking for. We have a Chunky Beef & Kidney is in our range. We consider this pie to be part of our Gourmet Range, meaning it is limited batch’s and stocks, normally only available in the cooler months between Easter and September School Holidays.

We also offer a Chicken and Vegetable Pie (using Fresh Chicken Breast).

We make our pie bottoms and tops from “scratch” from our own pastry rolled onsite. .

If its ‘Mushy Peas” (Yes! you guessed it, cooked here at our bakery) you want. Just like Tomato or Barbie Sauce we offer it as complementary (Free with any Savory purchase).

Family size mince Pies (usually frozen) are available for taking home to accompany ‘Mashed Potato & Vege’s” or Chips & Gravey. * (serving suggestion only).
